Are
you visiting to reconnect or are you new? To bring you up to date
I'll share a section from my memoirs:
In
the 70's, as a student at Syracuse University in upstate New York,
I discovered a love for photography while I rekindled an interest
in "making things" and art, I've had my whole life. From
my photography friends I heard about FLUXUS and the happenings taking
place in New York City. I loved the ideas being explored and the
incorporation of what I considered to be free "spirit"
into this new conceptual art form. More will be written about
this later.
After graduating I moved
to San Francisco, meeting Anna Banana and Bill Gaglione, aka Picasso,
in the neighborhood. When I asked what the street fair booth they
had was about, Bill answered, "DADA!"
Of course I immediately
thought, "Dada is dead!" Little
did I know I was wrong.
"Is it like Fluxus?"
I asked.
Fast forward to today
- I continue to stay connected with many people I meet through a
friendship that was kindled at that moment. From those questions
and outward a connection to so many artists and patrons grew into
a life that at times was consumed by ART. This site is about my
ongoing and past work - pursuing my love of stories, artistamps,
artibooks and photography.
My current art activities
are centered around photography and artibooks, writing, and my mail
art activities are focused on artistamps - my own and my archives.
I send a sheet of my current work to artists who want to send a
sheet as trade. My own artistamp sheets are for sale as well. My
limited edition multiple artibooks are currently sold at www.amazon.com
and www.alibris.com - just
use the advance search features entering my name.

Performed
at the opening of the Chromatophore Mail Art Show:
Jennifer
Zoellner--aka "mummy" and I performed "Futurisnm
Meets Fluxus" that I wrote, inspired by Allison Knowles and
Anna Banana. Put the ingredients in a blender (I live in South Florida
so blenders are important!) and pour it out to make this performance.
Tommy, Jennifer's 11 year old made this video.
